Sourdough Discard Cheese Crackers
Ingredients
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup cheddar cheese finely shredded
- 4 tbsp butter melted
- 1 tbsp coarse salt divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375º F
- In a large bowl, mix together sourdough discard, cheddar cheese, butter, and about 1/3 of the sea salt until well combined.
- Pour mixture onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and using a spatula, spread mixture as thinly as possible. The thinner the cracker the crispier it will be!
- Once spread, sprinkle the remaining coarse salt evenly over the top of the mixture.
- Place cookie sheet into oven for 8 minutes. Remove sheet from oven and using a knife or pastry cutter, score the mixture in 1" squares to make crackers.
- Place sheet back into oven for 12-15 more minutes or until crackers are crispy and starting to turn brown on the top.
- Let cool before breaking crackers into pieces. Enjoy!
