First Strawberry

Things have been moving along here at Pauline Manor. Even though the urge to lay by the pool and forget the to-do list exists has been strong, we’ve managed to keep chugging along and getting things done a little bit at a time.

This week Taylor turned 17 and we spent the day fixing up her room. Between school, work, theater, chorus, and her social life, the girl has been practically living out of boxes since we moved. We spent five hours cleaning, organizing, and purging her things to give her the perfect space.

Our riding lawnmower has been on the fritz so I brought over my Ryobi battery-powered mower and have figured out that if I break up the yard into six sections, I can do one a day and keep things looking clean It’s a good workout anyway, and a nice way to end each day outside.

We also finally moved the washer and dryer over… it’s wild how much happier it makes me to be able to toss a load of laundry in the wash as needed. One of those silly things I took for granted until I went a month without it! It’s the little things that make you happy after 40

Tomorrow will be a Sunday Funday before we crank up another work week. Then if all goes according to plan, we will have a little four-legged addition to the family by the end of the week. Happy Saturday everyone!
