A New Roof?!!
It’s a big week here at Pauline Manor… she is getting a much-needed new roof! We knew going into this that it was needed, but originally thought we would be able to make it through the summer before we had to replace it. Like everything else, the timeline shifted when we started bringing the irreplaceable items into the home and Mike decided it was best to just get it done now.
I am always amazed at the skill and professionalism of the guys who have helped us with Pauline Manor. From the handymen to the roofers, sheetrock guys, fencing guys, tile guys, and dirt guys… they have all been amazing. Pensacola has had a rough couple of months with contractors and workers, but we have been incredibly fortunate (and grateful!) to have a wonderful experience with every one of them.
If you have ever had to be home during a total roof replacement (meaning all of the wood and everything) you know it is a loud and somewhat scary process. I think after this week we will finally get to hang the pictures on the wall and relax for a few weeks before launching into any more big projects.
We have owned Pauline Manor for 92 days… and on every single one of those days, we have worked on the house in some capacity. I think we are all due for a few weeks of just enjoying her and resting.
