When I began building the Garden at Pauline Manor, I never imagined it would turn into what it is today. What started as one raised bed is now over 1,000 square feet with nine raised beds and numerous large planters. One thing I started from the very first bed was putting solar lights in even before the plants, and I have continued to add lights throughout every season.

For solar string lights, these are the absolute best! They are on a 40ft line and have a nice large solar panel so they stay lit almost all night long. They have 8 different modes of twinkle to choose from. I have three on my cattle panel trellis, four on my gazebo, and four surrounding my pool deck.

Solar Firefly Lights are a beautiful way to add light to large bushes and plants. This set comes in a four pack and each stake has 10 individual lights that fan out with gravity to give a beautiful ambiance inside your plants.

I liked these so much that I actually added some similar ones that have little bees and butterflies. It gives a little touch of whimsy and a little bit more color with the same pretty little glow.

Best Solar Fence Lights

Before we even moved into Pauline Manor we had over 600 feet of fencing installed to corral what would become a herd of five dachshunds. I wanted a way to light up the perimeter of the enclosed property so I got these solar fence lights that screw right into the top of each fence post. I have put these all around the yard as well as all throughout the garden. They give off the perfect amount of light.

Best Garden Pathway Lights

These pathway lights come with easy-to-install stakes that go into the ground so that the light is almost flush with your landscaping. I put these all around the outside of the beds where the rocks are to really brighten up the raised garden beds. They are super bright and give a gorgeous bright white light that bounces off the metal beds.

Solar Garden Gnomes

If you ask me, no garden is complete without a few garden gnomes – and the fact that all of these solar garden gnomes light up makes them that much cuter! These three and several more have kept me company in my garden day and night.

Solar Rain Gauge

My latest addition to the solar garden is this Butterfly Solar Rain Gauge. Even though I already had a Gnome Rain Gauge, the tube is quite small and doesn't always accurately measure with these Florida downpours. This one has a big tube that measures up to seven inches of rain… let's hope we never need that.

No matter how small or large your garden is, adding solar lights is a great way to create a warm and inviting ambiance in your garden even after dark as well as give you enough light to stay safe and not trip over any of your garden beds.
